Klinik kullanımı :

Santral sinir sisteminin enflamatuar (menenjit, SSS sfilizi) ve otoimmün hastalıklarında özellikle Multiple skleroz (MS) ve santral sinir sistemi tanısında kullanılır. MS ve Amyotrofik Lateral Skleroz gibi demiyelizan hastalıklarda, myelinin bir komponenti olan myelin-basic-protein artışı görülür.
