Herpes Simplex Virüs (HSV); PCR ile DNA Saptanması (BOS)

Klinik kullanımı :

Özellikle BOS’ta HSV-1 ve HSV-2 PCR yöntemiyle saptanmalıdır.

Şüpheli cilt lezyonları olan ve viral ensefalit veya menenjiti olan

hastalarda HSV varlığının değerlendirilmesinde kullanılır. Sonuç

tamamen kalitatiftir. HSV’nin bulunuşu HSV-DNA’nın bulunuşuna

göre pozitif yada negatif diye ayrılır. Sonucun pozitif çıkması

durumunda istenirse tip -1 ve tip-2 ayrımı yapılabilir.
