Yenibahar (pimenta) : Mersingiller familyasından; Amerika’nın tropikal bölgelerinde doğal olarak yetişen ve baharat elde edilen bir bitkidir. Her tarafı kokuludur. Kokusu ve tadı; tarçın, karanfil, karabiber ve hindistancevizininkine benzer. Baharat olarak kullanılır.

Faydası : Damar sertliğini önler. Hazmı kolaylaştırır. Mide ve bağırsak gazlarını giderir. Unutkanlığı giderir. Vücudun direncini artırır.
