Zerdeçal (zerdeçap) : Zencefilgiller familyasından; anavatanı Doğu Hindistan olan çok yıllık bir bitkidir. Yaprakları sivri uçlu, çiçekleri sarı renktedir. Safranı andıran boyalı bir madde çıkarılır. Baharat olarak kullanılır.

Faydası : Sinirleri uyarır. Vücutta biriken zehirli maddeleri atar. Nekahat devresini kısaltır. Verem gibi hastalıklarda faydalıdır.
