Akut lösemi başlıca iki gruba ayrılır; Akut lenfositik lösemi (ALL) ve

akut non lenfositik lösemi (ANLL). Ancak daha sonraları

hematologlar FAB sınıflandırması yapmışlardır. Buna göre;

Her olgu hematopatolog tarafından, immunofenotipik bulgular ve

morfolojik özellikler ile korelasyon yapılarak yorumlanmalıdır.

L1 : Akut lenfoblastik lösemi (çocukluk ALL)

L2 : Akut lenfoblastik lösemi (yetişkin ALL)

L3 : Akut lenfoblastik lösemi (Burkitt tipi)

Akut non-lenfositik lösemi (ANLL)

M0 : Akut myeloblastik lösemi (minimal diferansiasyonlu)

M1 : Akut myeloblastik lösemi (maturasyonsuz)

M2 : Akut myeloblastik lösemi (maturasyonlu)

M3 : Akut promyelositik lösemi (genel tip)

*M3V *Mikrogranüler varyant

M4 : Akut myelomonositik lösemi (genel tip)

*M4eo *Anormal eozinofilli

M5 : Akut monositik lösemi

*M5a *Zayıf diferansiasyonlu
