Hepatit C Viral Genotip Tayini

Klinik kullanımı :

HCV tip tayini; HCV RNA’sı pozitif hastalarda interferon alfa ve

ribavirin kullanarak uygulanacak olan tedaviye alınacak cevabın

önceden tahmin edilmesi açısından yararlıdır. Bu test yalnızca HCV

RNA’sı pozitif olan hastalara uygulanabilir. Simmond tarafından

yapılan sınıflamaya göre HCV’nin altı ana tipi ve bu tiplerin

bazılarının alt tipleri vardır, bunlar:

1a,1b,1c,2a/c, 2b, 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b, 4c/d, 4e, 4f, 4h, 5a, ve 6a dır.
